By subscribing to Causebox, you support the stories behind the products in the box. This way, you not only satisfy the consumer inside you, but also make sure that our world is a bit better.

If you want the products that you buy to be more than just useful, pleasant, and affordable, but instead, also care about how they are made and the impact that they have, it is time to get to know a socially responsible subscription box, the Causebox

With the annual subscription, you are set to receive four seasonal boxes. The service is currently available only in the United States and Canada.

The principle is simple but noble. »We find the best products that do good and look good,« say the Causebox designers. This means that the money which a product from the box earns on the market does not go only towards covering labour costs and materials and towards profit for the manufacturer, but a part of the earnings is also allocated to achieving objectives which are important for the broader community.

This means there is no exploitation of labour, and no harm or suffering brought to any animal in the manufacturing of the products, and that these have been made in accordance with the principle of sustainability and fair trade. Some of the products are made from waste, others help protect the coastline and the marine ecosystem.

Causebox products mainly focus on female consumers, for now only in the United States and Canada. Each box contains six to eight hand-curated products for women, from jewellery and skincare products, to accessories and homeware.

The Spring 2019 box contained a silk scarf, a skin elixir and facial mask, a konjac facial sponge, an elegant bracelet, a portfolio clutch, an art print, a macrame plant hanger, and a 100% organic sleep mask. The products in the box often include products which are available exclusively from Causebox and cannot be found anywhere else.

Each box comes with a booklet detailing the items included, and the makers behind each item.

If you commit to their life per month philosophy, you will receive four boxes a year, as they make seasonal deliveries. You can subscribe to a quarterly or annual membership. With an annual membership, you pay $50 per box, and with a quarterly membership, $5 more.

The discounted price is not the only perk of the annual membership. Annual members also receive the ability to customise each Causebox and choose from the wide range of products available at the time.

Regardless of which option you prefer, your box will always contain at least $200 worth of products.

In addition to Causebox supporting brands which allocate part of their profits to a greater good, it is also active in a number of charities. It has partnered with numerous organisations to help them raise funds, reach more people, and tell their stories. These partners include Freedom Firm, Speak Your Silence, The Jessie Reese Foundation, Trees for the Future, Books for Africa, and more.
